Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 August 2026
These terms apply when you use the Power Plumbing USA website and when you ask us to quote or carry out plumbing work. Where we give you a written estimate, invoice or contract for a specific job, the terms in that document apply to that job and take priority over anything on this page.

1. Acceptance of these terms
By using this website, submitting a quote request, or engaging us to perform work, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website or book work with us.
2. Who we are and what we do
Power Plumbing USA is a licensed plumbing contractor based in Union City, California, holding California contractor license #1082507 and carrying liability insurance. We provide residential and commercial plumbing services across the San Francisco Bay Area โ see our service areas for the cities we cover.
We do not subcontract our service area. Work you book with us is carried out by our own crews.
3. Use of this website
The content on this website is provided for general information about our services. Plumbing guidance on our pages is general in nature and is not a substitute for an inspection of your property. Do not rely on it as a diagnosis of your specific problem.
You agree not to use this website to submit false or misleading information, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, or to interfere with its operation. The text, images, layout and branding on this site belong to us and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.
Our site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
4. Quotes and estimates
Most quotes are free, and we can often price a job from photographs or video you send us, which avoids a visit. Some on-site estimates may carry a fee based on distance from our Union City base. Where a fee applies, we will tell you before we come out โ never afterwards.
A quote is based on the information available at the time it is given, including what you have told us and what could be seen. It covers the work described in it and nothing else. Quotes are valid for the period stated on them, or for 30 days where no period is stated, and may be revised if material prices change or if the job turns out to differ from what was described.
You approve the price before work starts. We will not begin chargeable work without your agreement to the price, and we will not add to it without your agreement first. See section 8 for what happens if conditions are found that nobody could see at the time of quoting.
5. Scheduling and response times
We offer emergency plumbing service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays, and we do not add overtime charges for nights, weekends or holidays.
Any response or arrival time we give is a good-faith estimate, not a guarantee. Traffic, weather, parking and access, and the demands of emergencies already in progress all affect timing. Where we are running late we will tell you rather than leave you waiting.
6. Your responsibilities
To let us do the work properly and safely, you agree to:
- Confirm that you own the property or are authorised to approve work on it
- Give us safe and adequate access to the work area, including gates, parking, keys, codes and lifts where relevant
- Tell us about anything you know that affects the work โ previous repairs, unpermitted alterations, the location of buried utilities or irrigation, septic systems, asbestos or lead paint, or hazards on the property
- Clear personal belongings from the work area where you reasonably can, and secure pets
- Tell us if a property is tenanted and arrange access with the tenant
Where information you give us is inaccurate or incomplete and that changes the work required, the price may change accordingly.
7. Permits, codes and inspections
All work is performed to the California Plumbing Code. Where a job requires a permit, we will pull it and meet the inspector unless we have agreed in writing that you are handling it. Permit and inspection fees charged by the authority are payable by you and are shown separately unless the quote states otherwise.
Some cities and districts have their own requirements, and some โ such as the City of Palo Alto with its municipal utilities โ administer services directly. Where that affects the schedule we will explain it before starting.
8. Changes and unforeseen conditions
Plumbing work frequently uncovers conditions that could not be seen when the job was quoted โ corroded pipe behind a wall, a collapsed section of sewer lateral, previous work that was not to code, or concealed water damage. If that happens, we will stop, show you what we have found, explain the options and give you a revised price. Additional work proceeds only once you approve it.
We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or for defects in work carried out by others that we uncover in the course of our work.
9. Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work unless we have agreed different terms with you in writing. For larger jobs we may agree a deposit or staged payments, which will be set out in the written estimate or contract for that job. Payment is arranged directly with us; this website does not take payments.
Where an invoice remains unpaid, we may suspend further work and may recover reasonable costs of collection to the extent the law allows.
10. Cancellation and rescheduling
You can cancel or reschedule an appointment by contacting us as far in advance as you reasonably can. Where you have signed a contract for work at your home, you may have a statutory right to cancel within a set period; where that right applies, the notice explaining it is provided with the contract.
Where materials have been specially ordered for your job, or work has already begun, we may charge for what has been supplied or done up to the point of cancellation.
11. Warranty on our work
We stand behind our workmanship. The warranty period and what it covers depend on the type of work, and are stated in the written estimate, contract or invoice for your job. Ask us before work starts if you want the terms confirmed in advance.
Manufactured items such as water heaters, fixtures, valves and pumps carry the manufacturer's own warranty, which is separate from our workmanship warranty and is administered by the manufacturer.
A warranty on our workmanship does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, freezing, ground movement, work altered by someone else afterwards, pre-existing conditions elsewhere in the system, or normal wear.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, our total liability arising out of or relating to any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost income, lost profits or loss of use.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under California law, including liability for personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Nothing in these terms affects your rights under our contractor's license bond or our insurance.
13. Licensing and complaints
Power Plumbing USA holds California contractor license #1082507. Contractors in California are licensed and regulated by the Contractors State License Board.
If you have a concern about work we have done, please raise it with us first โ most issues are resolved quickly once we know about them. You also have the right to contact the Contractors State License Board directly at www.cslb.ca.gov, or by writing to CSLB, P.O. Box 26000, Sacramento, CA 95826.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising from them or from work we perform will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Alameda County, California, and you and we agree to that venue.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our business or the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last revised. The terms in force at the time you book a job are the ones that apply to that job.
